Welcome to Goat
Valley!
2012 has started out pretty well, we have 3 does that have
earned their milking stars: Sariah
3*M, Val 1*M &
Ginger 1*M. The matings
pages have been updated & we will have some Nubian milkers for
sale after kidding.
2011 has been a very impressive show season has kicked off our
kidding season. We were able to attend 3 spring show with
a total of 9 rings. Both
Patchy & Cinnamon
Cookie won legs during the show in Pa. While Brooke won
Grand Championship Showman and Outstanding Jr Youth! We then
moved into the Fair shows, at the County fair Patchy won Best of
Show, unfortunately the show wasn't sanctioned. The year
finished off at
the State Fair, we took does in 4 breeds,

Alpine:
Banana Nut, Nubian:
Brooklyn, Ober:
Brooklyn, & Recoded Grade:
Donatella, the kids won
each of the Jr Champions & Bariah
won Best Jr Doe of Show. In the Open Show Both
Bariah &
Brooklyn won Reserve Jr Champion while both Banana Nut
& Donatella won their
classes. In Open showmanship Brooke won her class and was
recognized during the Championship.
We also participated in both Lineal Appraisal and DHI testing.
Vinnie,
Nell &
Ginger all went Excellent!
As we start to dry does off this fall watch for those that have
earned their milking start.
Both
Brooke & Nathan also show Dairy Cattle, at the State Fair Brooke
also earned a Master Showman ribbon in Dairy Cattle Showmanship
& took her Misty to the All-American Dairy Show. In the
National Premier Jr Dairy Show she participated in the Jr
Showmanship contest along with 107 other youths, she placed 5th
OVERALL!
With all this unfortunately time was short and the website
became out of date, it is currently updated with all new pics,
because shows become busy, especially with 2 kids (the human
kind) pictures didn't get taken, we finally dedicated a day to
re-taking all the pictures, the does aren't clipped (much too
cold the end of Sept) and the Does aren't bagged, hopefully next
year will be better for pictures. Mating will be comming
as soon as they are finalized!
During the 2010 Brooke's Sadie
won her first leg, at the
County Fair Nathan won Grand Champion with Sweetheart, and Brooke with
Sadie. State Fair honors not only included all
entries winning Blue Ribbons, Brooke had the Reserve Champion
Dam & Daughter with, next year Nathan will be old
enough to join the Brooke at the
"Really Big Fair". Both
Sadie &
Patchy earned their SG
status.
The kids have also done very well in
Showmanship along with countless 1st place wins in classes,
Brooke won the Pa Youth show Jr
showman class & Nathan was 1st in the first year showman class
at the county fair. Brooke earned Blue ribbon
showmanship honors with her goat & calf at the State Fair!
Brooke went on to the All American Dairy Show & World Dairy
Expo, earning Blues in showmanship at both!
At the County fair the kids show market
goats, this year they did exceptionally well Highly Commendable: Nathan & Commendable: Brooke!

WOW! What a summer 2009! The show season
has end we are counting up our ribbons, We finished Brooke's
Nubian Buck Vinnie.
First Brooke she decided she wanted
a Nubian Doe to add
too her zoo, thus
Boo's Zoo was created.
Between her
goats, Jerseys, Holsteins, Rabbits, & Market Pigs she has a huge
collection. She is developing quite a show herd.
Then came Nathan. He wasn't happy when the grade doe I
purchased for him a few years ago had a single buck. He needed a
doeling to show. He wanted
nothing to do with the floppy eared goats. So
Dinonate became
the home of registered Alpines with the pointy ears he likes. Then cousin Sarah decided she needed goats too.
She didn't like those floppy eared goats Brooke had so she talked her
mom into buying her a Lamancha at the State Fair. Sarah is the S
in Ready SET Goats.
We still have Erika
- she decided she liked the floppy
eared kids. Ted
hasn't establish his bred of animals,
he does like pointy ear goats who knows maybe we can
collect them all! Their goats live in
Arcade
